Debate at Shimultala

All through my childhood, I have grown up with confusion about the concept of 'God'. My maternal family strongly believed in 'God' while my paternal family believed that they are 'God'. So I have been living this confusion while experimenting with life to figure out the meaning in my own way..... So, here it goes !......

I have always believed 'that the minuscule portion of 'God' that we have understood so far is the Science that we practice today and the Science that we still haven't figured out is 'God' that is unknown to us.....and there's no difference between two at the fundamental level' !!! 'God' is the greatest science that is unknown to us and we all are trying to figure out in our own respective ways. Yet we deny it and have hijacked it in the name of religion and illogical religious practices.

I guess we need to acknowledge the fact that an 'Intelligent Being' is behind the creation of the Cosmos, which some say is coded in binary language. Further, once we realise that we are an illusion ourselves, we'll be able to better understand the binary simulation that we are trapped in. Some call the simulation 'Cycles of Karma'.....Come to think of it, I had formed a band called 'The Karmic Circle' ....anyways, managing to escape from this trap is probably called 'Mokhsa' and 'Nirvana' the feeling of breaking free. But then, what after that ? I have no clue !!

This illusion has been defined as 'Maya' in ancient Indian scriptures and there are enough stories to explain the impermanent nature of it........But for me, it's like an animated war veteran fighting in the by-lanes of Afghanistan in a PS 5 game . The animated human-like figures are doing all that

a human does yet have no clue about what's going on as the joystick is in the hands of the player and the animated soldier's cognition is trapped in the joystick !! And the moment the PS 5 is put off or the player logs out of the game, the animated soldier, the time and place where the player quits, freezes. And everything is saved in this binary world and comes back to life when the game is restarted. The animated soldier doesn't have the technology to restart the game nor start from where one stopped playing.

For me, the theory of Kardashev scale clearly throws light on our misunderstanding about the concept of 'God'. The Kardashev scale defines a method of measuring a civilisation's level of technological advancement based on the amount of energy it is able to use. A galactic race could be using energy from its entire galaxy and has the technology to have 100 % control over its galaxy.......... while fabricating a small speck of dust called Earth while bombarding it with water and life carrying celestial bodies to create a ground for experiments to create humans. A race with the DNA of the Galactic people and physical components on Earth i.e. carbon etc... For references, "From dust to dust" or "God created man in his own image" all indicate this.

I once was in a place in remote Bengal called Ananda Math with an extremely knowledgeable monk, Swami Ananda Bharati, the founder of Azad Hind Volunteers, in a place called Shimultala. He was invited by a branch of a spiritual organisation in an adjoining village to be a guest at a debate by school students.

The next day, I accompanied him to the ashram where the young adults of a local school run by the organisation had gathered for the debate. The debate began. The topic was 'What is more important - Science or God'. While the heated debate was on, I could hear Swami Ananda Bharati breathing heavily in anger sitting next to me.

Suddenly, he jumped on the stage, took the microphone and gave an unexpected powerful speech on how the subject matter was incorrect. .
" ........that the minuscule portion of 'God' that we have understood so far is the Science that we practice today and the Science that we still haven't figured out is 'God' that is unknown to us.....and there's no difference between two at the fundamental level ", roared the monk.

His powerful speech left all spellbound. The experience stayed back with me . But it took so many decades and a gaming console to understand what he actually meant.
